Getting Juiced over Thanksgiving

And no I am not talking about sipping some mulled wine, eggnog, or an adult Baileys hot chocolate..........

I am talking about keeping your battery hungry electronics charged while away from your own personal home setup. At home you may have taken the time to arrange your desk and chargers such that the chargers are easy to access and the cord snakes are tucked away neetly. But while you are traveling it takes some effort to keep your gear charged properly.

Public places such as coffee shops or air port terminals have very few and hard sought after electric outlets. This is where a small power  strip such as Belkin Mini Surge Protector Dual USB Charger  can come in handy. It turns 1 electric outlet into three 110V and 2 5V USB outlets. Meaning you can have your laptop, camera battery, 2 iphones and an iPad charging at the same time.
Hotels have similar issues with lack or accessible power outlets but as the rooms get renovated and updated to meet the demands and creature comforts of today's business travel more and more hotels are starting to include wired Ethernet and more outlets in each room.

If you are traveling this Holiday season to family or friends keep in mind that they already have their power usage already in place. The home entertainment system is wired up, Accessory lighting is in place and the furniture has been moved around to "hide" most other outlets. It is not the best guest behavior to be going around an unplugging floor lamps, stereos or moving furniture just to charge you phone.
